Is life happening for you or to you? Life is full of events or situations that are in your control and also many, many more that aren’t.
But just because an event has happened, doesn’t mean that you need you react to it. Be at cause and create the events that you want and don’t give meaning to the ones that you don’t.
When you are at cause you are in action, you are making the things happen in your life, you are creating momentum to move your life into the path that you want it. Yes, there will always be events that you hadn’t planned for and things that are going to cause you distress, but that is ok.
These are the events that you need to look at from a different perspective, even if they are affecting you directly. How many times have you been an armchair quarterback for a sporting event or a situation that you have seen that didn’t directly involve you? Probably a few, I know I have.
While you are at cause for your life, you are also at cause to what your ability is to respond to the events that come into your life.
Responsibility is the key, your ability to respond is the lock. You are able to change anything in your life that isn’t working for you or going the direction that you are wanting to. It is your responsibility to change it and create the life that you want.
Open the door to the possibilities.
There is nothing wrong with change, change is good, but for some people, maybe you, change can be difficult. You have been doing the same things for so long and situations that come into your life always have seemed to bother you.
Not anymore, it’s time to figure out what those things are, figure out what areas of your life that you haven’t been at cause for, what areas you have just been on autopilot and just being going along with no change or evaluation.
How often do you evaluate your life? When was the last time you dissected your life and removed the things that you didn’t like, these can be people, habits, routine, a job, anything that doesn’t fit, should be removed?
And replaced, if you have a hole in a spot where you removed something from your life and don’t fill it, you \ will revert back to what you removed because it is needed.
Think of it like this, if you were to look at one of the posts of a deck, and the deck was still standing. Now, that post is rotten, but it is still there. If you don’t deal with it, it could cause a situation huge situation. So just take it and remove it right? No, that would cause a bigger problem, the whole deck would come down.
You need to replace it with a new post.
When you are wanting to make changes in your life, to be more at cause, you have to do it one post at a time, when you replace one, you will look around and see that other areas can be changed, other areas can be upgraded.
Most of the things that you are doing today, you have done for years, they haven’t been up graded, people upgrade their cars every few years but areas of their lives, their bad habits or their response to things. This are what people don’t up grade.
Your mindset is the biggest upgrade that you should be doing daily, this is what is going to help you make the changes that you want in your life. If you are constantly changing and revamping things in your life to make them better, how easy would future change come, pretty easy.
I believe that things don’t just happen because, I feel that everything that comes into your life, my life, anyone’s life. First, we have the strength in us already to get through the situation, whatever the situation is, weather it is something small and really ineffective, or something big that can really pivot your life in a different direction.
Whatever it is you already possess the strength to make it through, or else why would you be in the situation at all.
Second, there is a lesson in everything, big or small there is always something to learn.
It’s just like the quote from Lou Holtz “You are either growing or your dying so get in motion and grow.
Are you in motion right now to be at cause in your life, working towards the life that you are truly wanting?
This life there is 3 points to everything that happens in our lives. There is a beginning, a middle and an end, and depending on where you are in it, you will always be in 1 of these given stages.
There are times when you might feel like we are at the end of something but are really at the beginning of something else. Motion is always happening, and I don’t feel that coincidence is really there, no such thing as the wrong place at the wrong time. You were supposed to be in that event, there is a life lesson, if it is big enough.
You just have to get yourself out of that victim mentality and take responsibility for your life back. I hear people all the time say, I know I should be doing, but.
Or I don’t know why this happened to me, but.
This life is a lesson, your whole life is teaching you something, but what is it teaching you.
Do you know that you can learn something every day if you were to look for it, but we are always trying to bury those thoughts with another noise?
It is ok, to sit back and reflect on your life, cry at the things that make you cry, laugh at the things that make you laugh, and learn from the things that are there to teach you.
Every day is a new day to work towards whatever you are wanting in your life. Do you know what you want? I have talked about this previous, but I am not sure if any of you actually took the time to figure out what you want, if you did great, if you didn’t well, the time is now.
Once you have figured out what you want and have the belief in the process and in yourself that you are able to obtain it, then your life is going to move in the direction that you are going.
Every amazing thing that you want in your life is just within your reach, your finances, the relationships, your health, the purpose that you long for.
But you have to take the action and be at cause.
Things are going to happen in your life when you are being at cause, things don’t just happen because.
