Find your Why

What do you want to do with your life?

Do you find that you are sometimes wanting to go after things but don't really begin the process of going after them.

So let's say you set a Goal a really big goal and plan on going after it. For the first few days you have so much passion and momentum to achieve your goal, your plan that you set out is going so well and to a T. But then their is a hiccup, a situation or circumstance that came into play that you really didn't think was going to happen, what do you do now?

So for the next few days you are now dreading working on your goal because you know that you have to face this issue, you have to decide a different plan, but then your mind comes with something else and you are able to be passionate about this and you have drive to complete this goal. So you but the other goal on the back burner and begin to work towards this new goal. After your plan is working out perfectly you hit a roadblock again, and again your momentum is lost.

How many times have you had a situation in your life, I know that this was something that I struggled with many times, and then I would look back at my life a few months later and well I would have started about 5-7 projects and finished none. Something like that really place with your mindset, and you say things to yourself like " Well what is the point in starting something, if i am not going to finish it anyways" OR " I am not creative or smart enough to get this project done, I am sure that I will hit an issue again"

STOP this madness, you have all the tools that you need to solve this problem and complete and be successful in every goal that you set out for yourself, you just need to fight though these times of roadblocks and push though.

It is said that a goal to others is an iceberg to you. All others see is the success, but they don't see the obstacles that you have had to go through to get there.

I bet you are saying "ok I get what you are saying, but what does that have to do with Find Your Why"

Well you why is what gets you past those roadblock times, your why is what will push you through those times where your desire has gone out the window, when you have no more push to solve that issue that you have been dealing with for days.

So what is your why?

Your why would be something that you feel, something deep in your heart that gives you the passion, that when you get up in the morning and go after what you want to have a gut wrenching reason to be doing it. There are so many things that we have to do in our lives that we really have no passion to do but they have to be done. Then there are also things that we want to do, but times break into our routine and life and we can't get them done.

So why do you do the things you do? Why do you have the habits you have, or the routines you have? Are they something that have been created over the years that you have just become accustomed to live by or are they truly something that you need to do.

Here are 3 basic tips to finding your why.

1 - First Know exactly what you want and WHY you want it.

Write down what you want, then beside that right down why you have to have it, now right down how you will feel when you achieve that goal. Then again write down why you must have it in a different context. Now write down how you would feel if you don't achieve that goal. What pain would it cause in your life if you don't get what you are going for.

There is only 2 reasons why people do things in life,

1 - To go towards pleasure

2- To get away from pain

Second - Create a massive action plan with many areas that will get you to your goal, so that when you hit your roadblock you will have already seen it or if you haven't you will have another path anyways and it won't seem like such a roadblock.

Third - Focus your why on something bigger than yourself. We often do things in our lives and let ourselves down, but then we let ourselves off the hook by saying something like " I didn't really want that anyways" or "That goal was way to big, I will aim smaller."

If the goal that you are going after contributes to others more than yourself you will have the drive to get it done. Know that whatever you are doing, there is someone out their waiting for you to deliver it to them.

Push through those tough times, what doesn't break us makes you stronger. That is all that lesson is wanting to teach you, you will never be given something that you wouldn't be able to handle.

Now Create the goal that you are wanting to achieve, find out why you want it and how it will make you feel if you don't achieve it. And don't change your mind until your goal is complete.
